Dahal's lead in Bharatpur

In the ongoing vote counting in Bharatpur Metropolitan City, the number of candidates in the five-party alliance is increasing. The difference between Renu Dahal of the CPN (Maoist Center) and Vijay Subedi of the CPN (UML) has reached 1,393.

Dahal is leading with 9,447 votes while Subedi is following with 8,054 votes. Independent candidate Jagannath Poudel is in the third position with 4,265 votes. Chitrasen Adhikari of Nepali Congress got 11,265 votes and Himala Gurung of RPP got 6,577 votes.

The counting of votes for Bharatpur Metropolitan City-6 is underway. Krishnalal Shrestha of the Nepali Congress and Dolnarayan Adhikari of the CPN (UML) polled 2,061 and 1,761 votes respectively. Earlier, the Congress candidate from the alliance has been elected as the ward chairperson of wards 1, 2, 4, and 5 of the metropolis while the UML ward chairperson has been elected in ward no. 3. 

One lakh 27 thousand 839 votes have been cast in Bharatpur Municipal Corporation. Similarly, UML won in the Madi district. UML has the lead in Ichchakamana village municipality and Kalika municipality and a five-party alliance in Ratnanagar, Khairhani, and Rapti municipalities.
