Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has called a meeting of the senior leaders of the party. The meeting has been scheduled for 2 pm today at the party’s central office in Sanepa.
The meeting will be attended by the current as well as former office bearers of the party. The coordinator of the committee that has been formed to investigate the issue of active members of the party and other members of the committee will also attend the meeting today.
The meeting will hold discussions on the upcoming general convention of the party and also on the investigation related to active members of Nepali Congress.
The Nepali Congress has already announced that the 14th general convention of the party will be held on September 1-4. However, the issue related to active members of the party has still not been sorted out. Most of the district offices of the party have been facing issues regarding active members.
