The Election Commission has submitted the report with the results of the provincial assembly member election held on 4th of November in accordance with Section 62 of the Provincial Assembly Member Election Act, 2017 to the provincial heads of all the seven provinces simultaneously this afternoon.
A team including the chief election commissioner, commissioners, secretary and joint secretary of the commission submitted reports separately to the office of the head of state at the headquarters of all the states. Chief Election Commissioner Dinesh Kumar Thapalia in Province No. 1, Commissioner Ishwari Prasad Paudyal in Gandaki Province, Commissioner Ram Prasad Bhandari in Lumbini Province, Commissioner Dr. Janaki Kumari Tuladhar in Sudurpaschim Province, Commissioner Suganshamsher Jabra in Madhes Province to submit the report.
A commission team led by Secretary Gokarnamani Duwadi in Bagmati Province and Joint Secretary Yagya Prasad Bhattarai in Karnali Province. Kamal Bhattarai, Assistant Spokesperson of the Commission, informed that the details of the provincial elections from that team were made public through a press conference.
In Section 62 of the Provincial Assembly Member Election Act, 2017, the commission has to send a report to the head of the province within seven days of the announcement of the election results, including the election system and the proportional election system for the first elected member of the provincial assembly election. The commission submitted the overall election report to the President on 29th of November.
