Speaking at a press conference organized by the Press Center Kailali at the Dhangadhi Airport today, Chairman of the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Center) Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' said that people should make good use of the opportunity to strengthen democracy by taking the election as a campaign. Referring to rumors that the coalition would postpone the election, he said, "Consensus has been reached in all the metropolitan and sub-metropolitan areas of the country only yesterday."
He urged all not to be in doubt whether the election will be held or not. "Is there any doubt now? Local level elections will be held on April 12," said Chairman Dahal. Stating that the election should be clean, fair and free from rigging and ensuring wide public participation, he said that there was a need to take the practice of democracy to a new level.
