A senior leader of the Nepali Congress, Ramchandra Poudel, has said the protection of a federal democratic republic and maintenance of good governance is the priority at present. He said it during a cadres' meeting organized at Kamalbari of Byas Municipality-12 in the district.
He worried about the trend of suppressing rights achieved after the martyr's sacrifice. Time has come for close watch against it, leader Poudel said, adding that parties would now work for empowering people.
"I want to fulfill my dreams for the country; for it, I want my electoral victory," he stated, vowing that an environment would be created for the youths to return home for jobs. Creation of jobs and development are other key agendas, according to him.
On the occasion, the candidate for the Member of Province Assembly on behalf of the ruling alliance and politburo member of the CPN (Maoist Centre), Hari Bahadur Chuman, said the electoral alliance was not only for government and victory but for nationality and prosperity.
Once good governance is established in the country, democratic stability will be ensured, he asserted.
