The government will move ahead obeying the Supreme Court's order to reinstate the dissolved House of Representatives (HoR).
Minister for Foreign Affairs Pradeep Kumar Gyawali who belongs to the faction of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) led by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, told the NepalNews that the government would work on implementing the apex court's order to hold the session of the Federal Parliament. He asserted that the Oli-led faction of the ruling party will hold talks with the party's another faction led by Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Madhav Kumar Nepal. He also said that the government will take step focusing on maintaining political stability.
Citing the past experience of how the country suffered for seven months without the Prime Minister, Foreign Minister Gyawali said the PM will not resign from his post immediately but would rather move forward in coalition with the disgruntled faction of the party.
The Supreme Court on Tuesday overturned the government's move to dissolve the HoR and delivered the verdict in favour of the reinstatement of the House of Representatives (HoR) and issued an order in the name of the government, the President, the Prime Minister and Speaker of HoR to summon the meeting of the Federal Parliament within 13 days
Upon the recommendation of the Council of Ministers, President Bidya Devi Bhandari on December 20 had approved the dissolution of the Federal Parliament.
The ruling party has been divided into two groups after the dissolution of HoR.
