JSP Chairperson Yadav seeks Foreign Ministry portfolio

The Upendra Yadav-led faction of Janata Samajbadi Party-Nepal (JSP) has decided to join the government that is to be led by Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba. The party will be led by the Yadav in the coalition government.

The faction at the moment is making preparations to forward the names of its lawmakers who are to be appointed as ministers. Yadav is at present holding discussions with Federal Council member Baburam Bhattarai and senior leader Ashok Rai on issues related to joining the government.

As per party sources, Yadav has made a proposal to Deuba seeking the portfolio of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Earlier too Yadav had been appointed the Minister of Foreign Affairs in 2008.
