Khanal-Nepal faction issues 17-point proposal

The National cadres' gathering of CPN-UML faction led by Madhav Kumar Nepal and Jhalanath Khanal has concluded issuing a 17-point proposal here today.

The two-day gathering has termed that the amendment of party statute, nomination of central committee members and changes in responsibility of the leaders as invalid and unauthentic, as it was made breaching the party statute.

The cadres' assembly further has demanded to call the party standing, politburo and central committee meeting scarping March 12's decision adopted by without the presence of Khanal-Nepal faction.

The assembly has also welcomed the Supreme Court's decision of restoration of the parliament. The national cadres' gathering was also attended by senior communist leaders Mohan Chandra Adhikari, Modanath Prashrit, Siddhilal Singh, Kamal Prasad Koirala, Radha Krishna Mainali, Sheetal Jha, Keshar Mani Pokharel among others.

 The UML cadres close to Khanal-Nepal from across the country had attended the conference that began on Wednesday in Sanepa, Lalitpur.
