Minister for Finance and Standing Committee Member of CPN (Maoist Centre) has said his party suffered splits for quitting its unique political ideology.

Addressing a programme organised by the Sindhupalchowk-Kathmandu Liaison Coordination Committee of the party here Saturday, he said that splits in the Maoist party were the result of leaving Prachandapath behind. It had centralised the ideas and organisation in the party, he argued.

"Prachandapath had ensured ideological centralisation. It had centralised the spirit of movement but everything became decentralised after abandoning it," according to Sharma.

He was of the view that the Maoist Centre should be made a leading political force to lead the socialist movement by learning lessons from Prachandapath and 21st-century people's democracy.

Sharma, also the chief of the Maoist Centre's organisation department, assured to run the party in line with rule and system.

Every committee of the party and sister organisation should be linked to economic production, employment creation and social-cultural transformation, he added.

On the occasion, the Finance Minister stated that the government was planning policies to revive the closed industries and create employment opportunities by opening new industries.
