CPN (Maoist Center) MP Narayan Prasad Dahal has been elected as the Chairperson of the National Assembly. He won by getting 39 votes.
There were 39 votes in his favor and 17 votes against.
Dahal was appealed to MPs by the top leaders of the ruling party to vote for Dahal, the common candidate of the alliance for the Chairperson of the National Assembly.
