National Election: Candidacy Registration on Jan 4

The Election Commission has approved the election schedule and program for the upcoming National Assembly election on January 26.

According to the Joint Secretary and Spokesperson of the Commission, Shaligram Sharma Poudel, the registration of candidates is scheduled for January 4, or Poush 20.

A schedule has been drawn up to file a complaint against the candidature on the Poush 21st, to investigate and decide on the complaint on the 22nd and 23rd, to withdraw the name on the 24th, and to publish the final list of the candidates on the 25th of Poush.

According to the commission, election symbols will be provided to the candidates on the same day and polling will be held at designated polling stations in January 26 from 9 am to 3 pm.

Before that, the parties wishing to participate in the election have been given time to register their parties from December 16 to December 25.
