President of Nepali Congress Sher Bahadur Deuba has pledged to address the grievances of Bhaktapur Congress workers after the election. In a meeting with party workers in Madhyapurthimi, Deuba said due to the compulsion of the alliance the provincial assembly (2) seat of Bhaktapur had to be given to other parties. This will be compensated after the election.
On the occasion, NC President Deuba made it clear that since it was a coalition government it had to continue with it in the elections too and some constituencies the Congress would have won alone had to be given to other parties in the coalition. He also urged the leaders and cadres present on the occasion to understand the alliance's obligation and join the election and help bring victory to the alliance's candidate.
He also assured of making NC leader Durlav Thapa a minister in the post-election government.
Thapa is the common candidate for the post of member of the House of Representatives in Bhaktapur constituency No. 2. On the occasion, Thapa expressed his commitment to make the central leadership address the grievances of the Congress workers of the district, especially in Madhyapurthimi.
Coordinator of Bhaktapur constituency No. 2 Election Mobilization Committee Ganeshman Chakradhar complained that it was unfair not to give the party member the ticket in Bhaktapur-2 Provincial Assembly, which includes the Madhyapurthimi area, a strong stronghold of the Congress.
