Nepali Congress's Janma Jaya Timilsina secured a Province Assembly (1) seat from Bardiya constituency 2. He garnered 17,251 votes while his nearest rival Nagarik Unmukti Party's Pradeshi Chaudhary 12,184. Out of the total 48,659 votes cast, 2,622 were invalid, according to the office of chief returning officer, Bardiya.
