NCP chair Dahal claims party's legitimacy

Chairman of Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Dahal-Nepal faction, Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that his faction will get the NCP's legality and the current election symbol.

"Only the official declaration is left for this. No one should get confused. NCP and the election symbol of Sun is ours," Chairman Prachanda said while addressing the unification assembly of two separate professional federations of NCP in Kathmandu on Monday.

He also expressed the confidence that the Election Commission will give official recognition to the decision taken by the party's majority.

Likewise, the former Prime Minister said that a new government will be formed soon and that government will give good-governance in line with the democratic system. Consensus will be made among the political parties within some days and the country will get an outlet, he said.

On the occasion, Dahal said that Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli violated the democratic norms and values by rejecting the decisions of the party standing committee and central committee while considering self as the supreme.
