The faction of Nepal Communist Party (NCP) led by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has organised a mass meeting in Biratnagar Metropolitan City of Morang district today.
Prime Minister Oli is scheduled to address the mass meeting that is underway in an open space near the Birat Nursing Home in the metropolis.
The leaders, cadres and supporters of the NCP faction formed processions from various places in the metropolis before gathering at the place.
The NCP faction has been organising mass meeting in various parts of the country apprising the mass of upcoming by-election following the dissolution of the House of Representatives (HoR). On the other hand, the NCP’s disgruntled faction led by Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Madhav Kumar Nepal has also been holding mass meeting and various programmes to protest the government’s move to dissolve the HoR, from time to time.
Meanwhile, NCP leader Subas Chandra Nembang is delivering his speech in the mass meeting. He is arguing why the government was compelled to dissolve the lower house. He has assured the participants that the mid-term polls will take place at any cost.
Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa, Province 1 Chief Minister Sherdhan Rai among other leaders have addressed the mass meeting.
