The Madhav Kumar Nepal-led faction of the CPN UML has rejected the proposal for party unity put forward by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, who is also the chairperson of the party. The proposal was rejected by the Standing Committee meeting of the members of the Nepal faction today.

A member of the committee stated that the six-point proposal was not acceptable. The meeting has come to a conclusion that the proposal is not for party unity but is just a document to fool them. Furthermore, members of the Nepal faction have said that Oli’s proposal would be acceptable only if Oli accepts Nepal faction’s six-point proposal.
