Nepali Congress calls for all-party meet

Sher Bahadur Deuba, President of Nepali Congress, has called for an all-party meet today. The meeting is scheduled to be held at Deuba’s residence in Budhanilkantha.

Chairperson of CPN (Maoist Centre) Pushpa Kamal Dahal (Prachanda) has already reached Deuba’s residence. Along with Dahal senior leader of the party Narayan Kaji Shrestha is also in Budhanilkantha.

Prior to seeking an all-party meet the Nepali Congress had held a meeting of its office bearers. The Congress is planning to discuss all possibilities of forming a government in the current political situation.

Meanwhile, Janata Samajbadi Party-Nepal is also expected to join the meeting in Deuba’s residence. The Nepali Congress has also called the Madhav Kumar Nepal faction of CPN UML for the meeting.

Political parties in the country have been occupied with various new developments taking place over the last couple of weeks.
