A meeting of Nepali Congress (NC) office bearers and the former office bearers is underway.
The meeting being held at Prime Minister and NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba's residence in Budhanilkantha is expected to discuss the work of the active membership probe Committee, according to Krishna Prasad Poudel, Chief Secretary at the NC Central Party Office.
The meeting that commenced at 9:00 am is also expected to discuss the upcoming 14th general convention of the party.
Earlier, the ruling party had decided to hold ward-level polls from July 27 in order to hold the 14th general convention from September 1 to 4.
Since the tasks related to active members have not been finalised yet, the election dates may vary.
