Newly appointed Minister for Women, Children and Senior Citizen, Mahendra Raya Yadav has decided to form a national policy formulation committee to control human trafficking and smuggling.
Assuming the office on Friday, Minister Yadav opined that it was necessary to change social perspective towards the Ministry of Women, Children and Senior Citizen. He shared, "We will hold collective discussion regarding the laws to be formulated for women's rights and resolve problems facing the ministry. We will make the people feel the good-governance."
He has already served as Minister of State in 2054 BS, Irrigation Minister in 2064 BS, Minister for Industry and General Administration in 2067 BS.
Born in 2011 BS at Haripurwa Municipality of Sarlahi district, Minister Yadav was elected as a member of House of Representatives from Sarlahi-2 in the November 20 election.
Yadav had started his political journey as a member of the CPN (UML) in 2037 BS. He left the CPN (UML) after the 2062/63 movement and established the Tarai Madhes Loktantrik Party. He again left the Tarai Madhes Loktantrtik Party and established Tarai Madhes Sadbhawana Party and after that he became the member of presidium council of the Rastriya Janata Party.
Minister Yadav was elected the member of Constituent Assembly from Sarlahi in 2064 BS as well as member of the second Constituent Assembly from Sarlahi-4. He also won the election of the HoR from Sarlahi-2 in 2074 BS.
