The Election Commission held a consultative meeting with Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel regarding the financial management for the upcoming election to the House of Representatives.
On the occasion, Finance Minister Poudel assured that there would not be any shortage of budget to conduct the election in free and fair manner. "It's EC's responsibility to institutionalise and consolidate democracy via election," he said, adding that ongoing preparations for the upcoming election were positive.
The Finance Ministry will extend full support and cooperation to hold election in an economical and transparent way, he said.
Chief Election Commissioner Dinesh Kumar Thapaliya apprised the Minister of election preparation and expressed commitment to hold election in a transparent and fair manner.
