The representatives of Non-Resident Nepalese' Association (NRNA) have met Vice President Ramsahaya Prasad Yadav and discussed how an investment-friendly atmosphere could be created in Nepal and properties of Nepalis abroad to ensure safety.

The delegation jointly led by its Executive Chairperson RabinaThapa and Chairperson Kul Acharya also dwelt on continuation of NRNs citizenship.

On the occasion, Vice President Yadav made a commitment that he would draw the attention of concerned sectors on the problems relating to NRNs' investments in Nepal. He also called on the NRNs to invest in Nepal by utilizing their capital, knowledge and skills.

Executive Chairperson Thapa reminded that although the issue of continuity of citizenship was raised by the NRNs for long, it was yet to be addressed fully. She sought adequate attention from the Vice President in this regard.

Similarly, Chairperson Acharya viewed it as worrying to have the issue of citizenship prolonged. Existing laws should be reviewed to attract the foreign investment, he suggested.

Founding Chair Upendra Mahato argued the NRNs scattered across the globe were devoted to making Nepal prosperous.
