Prime Minister Prachanda has been given the responsibility of the eight ministries that they have been holding after the resignation of ministers from CPN (UML) on Monday.
On Tuesday, President Bidya Devi Bhandari also assigned additional ministries to the Prime Minister as per the provisions of the Constitution of Nepal.
UML got the ministries of finance, agriculture, foreign affairs, industry, commerce and supplies, health and population, defence, women, children and senior citizens and land reform. Earlier, Rashtriya Prajatantra Party and Rashtriya Swatantra Party had left the government.
