PM Oli proposes formation of national government

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has proposed the formation of a national government by forging consensus among all political parties. He made this proposal during a press conference held in Baluwatar today.

He reiterated that everybody should cooperate and form a national government. Oli, who is also the chairperson of CPN-UML mentioned that at the moment everybody needs to unite and fight against the crisis brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The prime minister had called Sher Bahadur Deuba, President of Nepali Congress, earlier today and proposed the formation of an alternate government. Moreover, he had mentioned that if the formation of an alternate government is not possible then parties could forge consensus and form a national government.

He had urged Deuba to form a national government under his leadership and pledged that he would take into consideration issues of all parties and move ahead accordingly.
