A total of 1,04,212 votes have been counted so far in the Pokhara Municipal Corporation for the local level member election-2022 AD.
According to the updated details of the counting of votes in Pokhara till 1:00 pm today, Dhanraj Acharya, the leading candidate from the ruling coalition, has maintained his lead. Acharya is still leading with 3,395 votes. While Acharya got 41,705 votes, his nearest candidate Krishna Bahadur Thapa of CPN (UML) got 38,310 votes.
Similarly, CPN (UML) candidate Manju Devi Gurung has the lead in the Deputy Chief of the metropolis. While Gurung took the lead by getting 43,616 votes, her nearest candidate Kopila Ranabhat of the Nepali Congress has 41,920 votes. The difference is of just 1,696 votes.
A total of 1,43,226 votes were cast in Pokhara in the May 13 election. Of the 33 wards in the metropolis, counting of votes in wards 10, 11, 16, 17, 18, 19, 39, 30 and 31 is underway. The remaining wards are numbered 21, 22, 32 and 33. So far, the final results of 20 wards have been made public.
