In today's meeting of the Provincial Assembly of Province No 1, the discussion started on the annual policy and program for the fiscal year 2022/23 presented by the provincial government. Various members of the state assembly have started speaking in the discussion. The leader of the main opposition party in the state assembly Bhim Prasad Acharya drew the attention of the house to rectify the situation as there was no concrete program in the policy and program.
He informed the House that the CPN-UML has formed a five-member committee under the convenership of former minister Hikmat Kumar Karki for the naming of the state and the committee will take initiative to finalize the name after discussion and consultation with the members of all parties.
