The National Independent Party has withdrawn its support to the government. The party Chairman Rabi Lamichhane informed that the decision was taken by the meeting of the central committee and the parliamentary party held at the party central office on Friday.
Chairman Lamichhane, who is also a member of the House of Representatives, said, "Today, I would like to announce the unanimous decision of our central committee and parliamentary party meeting. We have decided to withdraw the government's support and remain in the opposition."
When asked why the support of the government was withdrawn, he responded that the decision to remain in the opposition was received in accordance with the mandate of the people from all over the country.
