A meeting of the leaders of the ruling alliance is holding a discussion regarding the expansion of the cabinet and the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) today.

Prime Minister and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, CPN Maoist Centre chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, CPN (Unified Socialist) chairperson Madhav Kumar Nepal, Janata Samajbadi Party-Nepal (JSP) chair Upendra Yadav are said to be attending the meeting.

The meeting is being held to forge consensus as ruling alliance leaders' opinions about MCC differ.

Nepali Congress has stood firmly to proceed with the MCC while other leaders including Dahal are against it. Likewise, the leaders are also said to be discussing the expansion of the cabinet.

Prior to holding a discussion at Prime Minister Deuba's official residence in Baluwatar, the leaders held a separate meeting in Hattiban, Lalitpur.
