Ruling alliance taskforce to finalise minimum common programme today

The second meeting of the ruling alliance is set to finalise the minimum common programme and the government operation work procedures today.

The taskforce held intensive discussions on this topic when it met at the Prime Minister's residence at Baluwatar today morning. It is said preparations have been made to finalise this topic and submit it to the top leaders today itself.

The second meeting of the taskforce is taking place at 4.30 pm today, said Keshav Raj Joshi, the member-secretary of the task force.

He said the first meeting of the task force had started at 8 am and continued until around 12.30 pm.

Taskforce convenor and Nepali Congress general-secretary Purna Bahadur Khadka and Dr Minendra Rijal and Ramesh Lekhak from the Nepali Congress, Dev Gurung and Barshaman Pun from the CPN(Maoist Centre) and Rajendra Shrestha and Mahendra Raya Yadav of the Janata Samajwadi Party attended the meeting.

The taskforce will prepare the common programme incorporating the priorities, and the policy and programme of the coalition government and the implementation of federalism, among other topics.

It is said the government will get its full shape within one or two days after the taskforce finalises the minimum common programme today.
