Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, who is also the chairperson of CPN-UML, has begun talks with senior leader of the party Madhav Kumar Nepal. The talks are being held in Captain Rameshwor Thapa’s residence.
The discussions are being held in Thapa’s residence as per a request of leader Nepal.
In a recent development, a meeting of the CPN-UML Standing Committee this morning decided to revoke the suspension of Nepal along with Surendra Pandey, Bhim Rawal and Ghanshyam Bhusal. Nepal agreed to hold talks with PM Oli only after the suspension order was withdrawn today.
The leaders at the moment are trying to resolve the differences that have surfaced within the party in recent weeks and maintain the party’s unity.
