UML CC meet called by Nepal faction put off

The Central Committee (CC) meeting of CPN UML called by the party faction led by senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal has been postponed.

The meeting scheduled to be held at 11:00 am today was postponed until tomorrow.

According to a leader, the CPN UML leaders have stepped forward to arrange a meeting between Nepal and party chairperson KP Sharma Oli. He said that the CC meeting has been postponed to pave the way to arrange for the meeting between Oli and Nepal.

The meeting between the two leaders is expected to discuss the intra-party unity among other contemporary issues and joining the government led by Nepali Congress President and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli. The leaders who have been trying to bring together both factions have been continuously asking leader Nepal not to hold the CC meeting.

Meanwhile, Deuba has also invited the Nepal faction to join the government. Nepal faction had supported Deuba who sought the vote of confidence.
