The main opposition party CPN-UML has demanded the resignation of Finance Minister Janardan Sharma.
Criticizing the finance minister for not responding to the question on the tax rate. Speaking at the beginning of today's Parliament sitting, UML Vice-Chairman and former Finance Minister Surendra Pandey talked about how Parliament needs an answer.
He further said, "Tax is a very confidential matter, like national security, that has national interest." "Disclosure of such secrets is considered a serious crime. That should be investigate," he added.
Speaking after Pandey, UML chief whip Bishal Bhattarai said, "After raising questions on such a serious issue, we are not ready to listen to finance minister's answers on behalf of the CPN-UML and discuss his issue at all."
After that, Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota said that he had paid serious attention to the issue.
