CPN-UML has expelled five leaders from the party who rebelled against the party's official candidate.
The UML has informed that five leaders, including members of the Sudurpaschim Province Committee Tek Bahadur Hamal and Khem Subedi, have been expelled. UML Far West Secretary Dharmaraj Pathak informed that provincial committee members Hamal and Subedi along with Central Advisory Council member Bhakta Bahadur Adhikari, Rashtriya Mukti Samaj central member Vijaysingh Mayal and Tek Bahadur Saund have been expelled from the party by the relevant committee as per the central instructions. According to him, Subedi, a member of the provincial committee, is contesting for Kanchanpur constituency number 1, Adhikari for constituency number 1, Hamal for Kanchanpur 2 constituency, Saund for Kanchanur constituency 1 and Mayal for Bagi constituency had given.
