Speaking at a press conference organized by Press Chautari Chitwan this morning, Senior Vice President of the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist-Leninist) {CPN (UML)} Ishwor Pokharel said, "We are very clear that the CPN-UML is not in favor of any alliance."
He said that the UML alone would be enough even if an alliance of five parties was formed as the election would be held on the basis of ideas and work. Pokharel said that they would try to win the election based on the work done by the UML and its commitment to work in the coming days.
"The time to register a candidate is two days. Why two days?" He asked. He said that the issue of changing the color of ballot papers without consulting the Election Commission was unique.
