The CPN UML is holding the Standing Committee (SC) meeting today. The SC meeting has been scheduled to take place after the Central Committee meeting.
The SC meeting will be held at CPN UML Chair KP Sharma Oli's residence in Balkot.
The SC meeting is being held to decide the agenda of the next meeting after analysing the recent political situation in the country.
The meeting will also hold discussions with Bhim Rawal and others who are in favour of party unity. One of the party leaders said that the discussions would be held on bringing together the lawmakers close to the faction led by Madhav Kumar Nepal.
Earlier today, the Central Committee meeting sought clarification from 22 lawmakers of the party including senior leader Nepal who voted for Sher Bahadur Deuba.
