CPN-UML candidate Kedar Prasad Guragain has won the post of chief of Morang's Sundaraharaicha municipality by getting 21,405 votes. His nearest rival Shiva Prasad Dhakal of the Nepali Congress polled 20,678 votes.
Akali Chaudhary of the CPN-UML has won the local level election by getting 22,452 votes while her nearest rival Nawaraj Chapagain of the CPN-Maoist Center has got 11,300 votes.
Out of the ten wards of the village municipality, independent candidates have won the post of ward chairperson in one ward, Nepali Congress in six wards, and UML in three wards.
