CPN (Unified Socialist)'s Amar Bahadur Thapa secured a House of Representatives seat from Dailekh 1. He garnered 18,256 votes while his nearest competitor CPN (UML)'s Rabindra Raj Sharma 17,407. Out of the total 40,387 votes cast, 1,657 were invalid, according to the office of election officer.
