Nepal's Rasila Maharjan has entered into pre-quarterfinals in the women's singles of badminton at the 19th Asian Games underway in Hangzhou, China.
Maharjan defeated Myagmartsin Ganwatar in a straight set of 21-4 and 21-7. However, Nepal lost competitions in the remaining three tournaments held on Tuesday.
In women's singles, Anumaya Rai of Nepal lost the games to Thailand's Pornpawi with 21-10 and 21-4. Likewise, in women's doubles, Nepal's pair Neeta Lamsal and Nangsal Tamang were beaten by Chinese players 21-1 and 21-5. Likewise, Nepal's pair Rasila Maharjan and Anumaya Rai was defeated by Indonesian players with 21-3 and 21-7.
