The Ang Tshiring Sherpa Memorial Golf Tournament teed-off on Friday, March 5, 2021. The two-day event will be held at the Gokarna Forest Resort.
The rituals for the tournament started off with stewardesses from Yeti Airlines welcoming the guests.
Deepak Acharya, Senior Golf Director at Gokarna Forest Resort, said, “We started the registration process at 7 in the morning and we have 76 participants registered for the tournament.”
The inaugural event of the tournament started with Chanda Sherpa, Managing Director of Yeti Group, lighting a lamp and adorning the image of late Ang Tshiring with a ‘khada’ at 7:45 am. It was then followed by a minute of silence in honour of late Ang Tshiring, the golfer with a big heart.
