In the second match of Asia Cup cricket today, Nepal is competing against strong rival India. The match is scheduled to start at 3:15 PM at the Palekele International Cricket Stadium in Sri Lanka.
In the first match under Group A, Nepal lost to Pakistan by 238 runs and was without a point. Having scored three points from two matches, Pakistan has entered the Super Four.
The match between India and Pakistan on Saturday was canceled due to rain.
After drawing with Pakistan, India will have to draw with Nepal in the Super Four. Nepal has to beat India to reach Super Four. Nepal is going to compete with India's senior team for the first time.
In the ICC rankings, India is ranked third and Nepal is ranked 15th.
Just as rain prevented the match between India and Pakistan on Saturday, there is a possibility of rain in Sri Lanka's Kandy on Monday as well. Nepal will be unlucky if the match is canceled due to rain. India will advance with a draw.
In the Asia Cup, Nepal, India and Pakistan are in Group 'A'. Group 'B' has Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan.
