A case has been filed against Biratnagar Super Kings under the suspicion of match fixing.
Janakpur Royals and Biratnagar Super Kings played a game on 31 December. Coach Linden Fraser used to send Pradeep Giri and Gauransu Sharma as opening batsmen.
However, according to the instructions of the team manager Rahul Sharma, Captain Andre McCarthy went as the opener instead, according to the research report of the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB).
After learning about match fixing, Bir Singh, the anti-corruption officer of the International Cricket Council, informed the Cricket Association Nepal.
After that, the acting secretary of CAN, Prashant Bikram Malla, who was removed from his duties and banned from participating in the match, filed a document with the police. A case has been registered in District Court, Kathmandu against 5 people involved. However, Andre and Rahul Sharma are not included in it.
