Former national cricket team captain Khadka calls on PM

Former captain of Nepali national cricket team, Paras Khadka, called on Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba today.

It has been learnt that Khadka held a discussion with PM Deuba about developing cricket in Nepal.

On the occasion, PM Deuba committed to providing support from the government for the development of cricket. 


PM Deuba shared on his Twitter, "Thanks to Paras Khadka for every success that Nepali cricket has achieved in two decades, Nepalis will never forget those exciting victories that have inspired us to dream big in cricket. May success be achieved in the second inning of life to make Nepal and Nepalis' heads high. May success be achieved in the second inning of your life to make Nepal and Nepali's heads high. There will always be support from the government.


Responding to the PM's tweet, former national skipper Khadka also expressed his gratitude to the PM. He shared, "Would like to Thank Honorable Prime Minister @SherBDeuba for his kind remarks and his assurance in helping Nepal cricket grow in coming days."

Khadka on August 3 announced his retirement from international cricket. However, the following day, at a press meet, he had said that the retirement was just the change in his role and that he would manage a cricket team and help in the development of Nepali cricket.
