Nepal has set a strong target of 262 runs to Singapore in the ICC U-19 World Cup Asia Zone Qualifiers.
Debutant Aakash Tripathi and Bishal Bikram KC scored half-centuries for Nepal, who chose to bat first after winning the toss at Arden Garden Oval in Ajman, UAE. Nepal scored 261 runs after losing 7 wickets in 50 overs.
7 players have made their debut from U-19 Nepali national team. For Nepal, Deepak Bohra, Subas Bhandari, Hemant Dhami, Deepak Prasad Dumre, Deepak Bohra and Milan Bohra made their debut in today's match along with Akash.
The competition includes Nepal, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, UAE and Kuwait. The winner of the single round-robin tournament will be eligible to play in the U-19 World Cup in Sri Lanka in 2024.
