Machhindra Football Club defeated Khumaltar Youth Club in a match held today under the Martyrs Memorial 'A' Division League.
Machhindra blanked Khumaltar by 3-0 in the match held at ANFA Complex ground in Satdobato, Lalitpur. Olawale Afiz scored two goals and Andris Nia scored one for Machhindra.
Nia scored the first goal in the 42nd minute while Afiz doubled the score in the 77th minute and added the third in the 83rd minute of the game
Along with the win, Machhindra has added 30 points from 18 games to climb to the third position in the points table. Khumaltar is at the bottom with only 17 points.
Similarly, in the second match held today at Dasharath Stadium Tripureshwar, the match between Himalayan Sherpa and Sankata Club ended in a 1-1 draw. Himalayan's Manuel Nana scored a goal in the 50th minute which was cancelled in the 72nd minute by Ayush Ghalan of Sankata.
Following the draw today, Sankata has climbed to the 11th position in the points table with 21 points in 18 matches. Himalayan Sherpa is in ninth place with 22 points.
