In the ACC U-19 Premier Cup cricket tournament that started in Malaysia, Nepal defeated Iran by a huge margin of 274 runs on Thursday. Nepal, who lost the toss and were invited to bat first, scored 353 runs before being bowled out in 40.1 overs.
Deepesh Kandel, the bowler of the Nepali team, took three wickets, Subas Bhandari took three wickets, Akash Chand and Hemant Dhami took two wickets each. Before that, Nepal's captain Dev Khanal scored 100 runs. Deepak Prasad Dumre contributed 69 runs.
Nepal will play another match against Bahrain on Sunday.
