Nepali national football team has won the first international friendly match against African nation Mauritius.
Nepal defeated Mauritius 1-0 in a match played at Dasharath Stadium in Tripureshwor today. Bimal Gharti Magar became the hero in Nepal's victory. A goal scored by him in the 55th minute of the game proved to be the decisive goal for Nepal. Bimal, who returned to the team after a year, scored in the first game.
In Anjan Bista's long pass, Bimal hit the ball from just outside the penalty area and into the post. This is the first time that Nepal has played an international game with an African team. Nepal will now play its second friendly match against Mauritius on Tuesday.
