The Winter Youth Olympics have started in Gangwon, South Korea. Yesterday, the Winter Youth Olympics were inaugurated amid grand ceremonies. The competition is continuing till February 1.
The 4th Winter Youth Olympics Gangwon2024 will be contested in 15 disciplines in 7 different sports. About 1,900 athletes from 79 countries are participating.
Nepal is also participating in the 4th Winter Olympic Youth Games. Players Chowang Mingyur Tamang and Lakshmi Rai are participating on behalf of Nepal. Safalram Shrestha is the coach of the Nepali team. Nepalese players had the opportunity to Participated in special training for 15 days in Korea under the 'Dream Project' 2024.
Nepal Olympic Committee President Jeevanram Shrestha and General Secretary Nilendraraj Shrestha also participated in the opening ceremony of the Winter Youth Olympics.
