Nepal wins four gold medals in Karate

Nepal has won four gold medals in Sitoryo Karate at the BG Karate Championship held in Bangladesh.

Dejan Dolma Lama of Nepal, Pasang Tamang, and Galmo Somika Lama of Nepal won the gold medals in the competition organized by the Bangladesh Bishop Association with the support of the Bangladesh Gojuryo Karate Federation. Dijen won two gold medals in Kumite and Kata.

According to team manager Ram Kumar Shrestha, Pasang won gold in the 70 kg weight category and Gallmo won gold in the 35 kg weight category. According to Shrestha, the Nepali team has won two more silver and five bronze medals. Pasang Tamang (70 kg) and Rajdev Bamjan (65 kg) bagged silver in the 65 kg weight category.

Similarly, Rabindra Kunwar, Eurodis Rokka (60 kg), Umesh Bhandari (55 kg), Ravina Budhathoki (45 kg), and Umang Budhathoki (under 14) won bronze medals in the open category. Nepal's Chhatra Bahadur Ale Magar, Ram Chandra Gurung, Narayan Shrestha, Prakash Tamang Lama, Mingma Tamang, and Ganesh Lal Shrestha were the judges in the championship.
