Marathon runner Narayan Shrestha has succeeded in winning a title for the third time in the American University Marathon (AUM). The marathon was contested by athletes of different countries. Along with the title, he has also won a cash prize of Rs 2 lakh.
Shrestha covered a distance of 2.5 km in 9 minutes and 38 seconds.
The marathon was organized by the American University of the Middle East in Ekala, Kuwait. Nepali competitor Tika Kumal came third in the competition.
The marathon had runners from Lebanon, Egypt, Nigeria, India, Cuba, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, Cyprus, Czechoslovakia and Europe.
