Nepali runner Gopichandra Parki, who is participating in the 'Berlin Marathon' in Germany, will leave for it today. Parki and trainer Santosh Shrestha was bade farewell at a program organized by Nepalgunj Marathon today.
Ramesh Kumar Silwal, Member Secretary of the National Sports Council (NSC) and TS Thakuri, Chairman of Creative Hands, the organizer of the Nepalgunj Marathon, bade farewell to the two. On the occasion, both of them were provided with track suit, bag and t-shirt.
The world famous 'Berlin Marathon' is being on October 12.
Runner Parki leaving for Berlin on Qatar Airways tonight. He is also the winner of the last edition of Nepalgunj Marathon. Parki won a gold medal in the marathon at the 13th South Asian Games in Nepal. At the farewell ceremony, Parki expressed his commitment to do his best.
