The Nepali women's volleyball team, which won the title of AVC Asian Senior Central Zone Women's Volleyball Challenge Cup held in Bangladesh, has returned to Kathmandu. The team was given a grand welcome at Tribhuvan International Airport by endearing fans and family members.
Nepal had defended its title by defeating Uzbekistan 3-2 in a thrilling set in the final match played on Tuesday in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
A cabinet meeting held yesterday decided to give Rs 500,000 each to the 12 title winners, Rs 300,000 each to 2 coaches, and Rs 200,000 to an official.
Earlier, Nepal had won the title for the first time in 2019 by defeating the Maldives in a straight-set.
